You’ve assembled your armies, painted your miniatures, and studied the tactics—but finding opponents for regular games remains the biggest challenge. Local clubs may be nonexistent, friends have moved away, or schedules simply don’t align. If this sounds familiar, we have exciting news for virtual historical wargamers: the launch of the Virtual Historical Wargamers Network.
The Virtual Historical Wargamers Network will be a dedicated community designed specifically for historical wargamers who often lack access to local gaming groups.
Please note that we are not a ‘Kriegspiel’ group. If you are interested in joining a Kriegsspiel umpired game, we highly recommend that you check out the International Kriegspiel Society.
What We Plan to Offer
The Virtual Historical Wargamers Network brings together solo players from around the globe through the power of Tabletop Simulator (TTS) and Discord. Our community will provide:
- Regular Gaming Sessions: Scheduled weekly games that fit into your life, with no travel required
- Diverse Opponents: Connect with fellow historical wargaming enthusiasts from different continents, and backgrounds. Games can generally host 2-8 players for great multi-player action.
- Multiple Game Systems: Access to various historical time periods and rule sets through TTS
- Welcoming Environment: Whether you’re a grizzled grognard or new to historical wargaming, you’ll find your place here
- Community Support: Share tactics, discuss history, and build lasting friendships with like-minded gamers
